Cecilia Kang is a national technology correspondent for The New York Times, where she covers regulatory issues such as privacy, cybersecurity, antitrust, and the digital divide. Prior to this, she was the senior technology correspondent for The Washington Post for over a decade, covering internet policies at the Federal Communications Commission and Federal Trade Commission and how regulations affect businesses and consumers. Previously, Kang was a correspondent for the San Jose Mercury News, where she wrote about technology, race and demographics, and economics. She is the author of the forthcoming book, An Ugly Truth, an investigation of Facebook. Kang’s recognition includes a George Polk Award and a Loeb Award.
