Catherine Alicia Georges is national volunteer president for AARP, serving from June 2018 to June 2020, and a member of the all-volunteer AARP Board of Directors. She is also a professor in and chair of the Department of Nursing at Lehman College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Previously in her career, Georges was a staff nurse, team leader, supervisor, and district manager for the Visiting Nurse Service of New York. She currently serves as president of the National Black Nurses Foundation and as a board member of Black Women’s Health Study and R.A.I.N. Inc.
