Bina Venkataraman is director of global policy initiatives for the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, a lecturer at MIT, and an op-ed columnist at The Boston Globe. She was formerly senior advisor for climate change innovation in the Executive Office of the President during the second Obama administration and senior advisor to the co-chair of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology during the first Obama administration. Venkataraman was previously a journalist at The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor, and The Boston Globe, covering science, the environment, and public health.
