Bakary Sidibe is Liberia country director for Last Mile Health, which works to provide quality health care for people in the most remote communities worldwide. An Ivory Coast native, Sidibe has 20 years’ experience in international development and program management in Liberia, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Palestine, South Africa, and Guyana. Prior to joining Last Mile Health, he was chief of party for Project Concern International in Liberia, managing two projects during the response to the Ebola epidemic. His passion for community-based work was sparked as a Peace Corps volunteer in East Timor, where he provided technical support to the ministry of health.
