Amy Brakeman is an investor at Pluralize Capital. She is committed to increasing the wealth and decision-making power of historically underinvested people and communities through the strategic deployment of financial resources and systems change. Brakeman is also president of Umsizi Fund, a foundation supporting the advancement of African innovators and entrepreneurs. Previously, she was co-lead of the gender and racial justice working group at Toniic and an advisory council member of African Leadership Academy from 2010 to 2021.
