Amanda McClelland is senior vice president of Prevent Epidemics and of Resolve to Save Lives. In her role leading Prevent Epidemics (a project of Resolve to Save Lives, which is a program of global public health organization Vital Strategies), she plans interventions and support in countries and regions at risk from future epidemics and strengthens prevention, detection, and response to epidemics. McLelland is an expert in international public health management, especially in emergency health, epidemic control, mass casualty in low-resource settings, disease prevention, and response operations. Previously, she was global emergency health advisor for the International Federation of Red Cross Red Crescent. She earned the 2015 Florence Nightingale Medal for her achievements coordinating frontline Ebola response.
