Alok Vaid-Menon

Alok Vaid-Menon is a writer, comedian, and actor. They have performed in over 40 countries at venues including Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Vaid-Menon appears in “Hannah Gadsby’s Gender Agenda” Netflix comedy special, and they are the subject of the documentary “Alok.” Other appearances include in “Complicated Order,” “The Trans List” and “Absolute Dominion.” On television, Vaid-Menon can be seen on “Sort Of,” “Planet Sex,” “Pride: To Be Seen – A Soul of A Nation,” “Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness” and “Random Acts of Flyness.” They have been honored with the ACLU of Southern California Bill of Rights Award, Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment Trailblazer Award and being named the inaugural University of Pennsylvania LGBTQ Scholar in Residence.
