
Alex Swartsel
Deputy Director of Acceleration, Jobs for the Future (JFF) Labs
Alex Swartsel is the deputy director of acceleration at Jobs for the Future Labs, connecting people to work, learning, and economic opportunity. Her work includes market research, insights publication, and demonstration projects showcasing new technologies. Prior to this, Swartsel was a leader and strategist at Teach For America’s Washington, DC, region, where she oversaw fundraising, finance, and communications. Earlier in her career, she was a senior advisor to US Sen. Elizabeth Warren and US Senator Sheldon Whitehouse. Swartsel is board chair of Capital City Symphony and chorus president of the Choral Arts Society of Washington, of which she is also a longtime member.
