Alan Fletcher
President and CEO, Aspen Music Festival and School; Trustee, The Aspen Institute
Alan Fletcher is president and CEO of the Aspen Music Festival and School. Prior to 2005, he was head of the Carnegie Mellon School of Music and a faculty member, provost, and dean of New England Conservatory. Fletcher’s music includes more than 200 works in all traditional classical forms. “An American Song” won a national competition in 2000 to honor West Point’s bicentennial. Recent commissions include works for the Pittsburgh Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Atlanta Symphony, Zurich Chamber Symphony, and Savannah Festival. He is a trustee of the Aspen Institute.
