Shiva Rajbhandari

Shiva Rajbhandari is a distributed organizer with the Sunrise Movement and a first-year public policy student at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. In 2022, while a senior at Boise Senior High School, he become the first student ever elected to the Boise School District board, campaigning on climate action and mental health reforms. Rajbhandari also serves on the boards of Idaho organizations on issues related to voting rights, transgender solidarity and climate justice. He was previously a Green New Deal for schools organizer for the Sunrise Movement and a part-time youth engagement coordinator for the Idaho Conservation League.
