Shara Ticku is co-founder and CEO of C16 Biosciences, a company that uses biomanufacturing to create next-generation ingredients and materials that address global ESG challenges including climate change, food security and the environmental and safety impacts of natural resource extraction. C16’s first product is Palmless™, a platform for sustainable palm oil alternatives. Prior to this, Ticku held a senior position with the office of the United Nations Special Envoy for Health and Malaria and was director of product management at Progyny. Previously, she worked at the Clinton Health Access Initiative and in Goldman Sachs’ securities division. Ticku is an entrepreneur-in-residence at Harvard Business School and a fellow of the Unreasonable Group, which builds community between entrepreneurs, institutions and investors to profitably solve pressing global problems.
