Rana Foroohar

Rana Foroohar is an associate editor and global business columnist at the Financial Times and CNN’s global economic analyst. Previously, she was an assistant managing editor and economic columnist at TIME and economic and foreign affairs editor and foreign correspondent for Newsweek. Foroohar authored Makers and Takers: The Rise of Finance and the Fall of American Business, which was shortlisted for the 2016 Financial Times McKinsey Book of the Year. She is a recipient of the German Marshall Fund’s Peter Weitz Prize for transatlantic reporting, has been honored by Johns Hopkins School of International Affairs and East West Center, and is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
