Mordechai "Moti" Segev

Robert J. Shillman Distinguished Professor of Physics, Israel Institute of Technology (Technion)

Moti Segev is the Robert J. Shillman Distinguished Professor of Physics at the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion), a position he’s held since 2009. He previously worked at Princeton University as a physics professor. Segev’s interests include nonlinear optics, photonics, solitons, sub-wavelength imaging, lasers, quantum simulators, and quantum electronics. Among his honors are the 2014 Israel Prize in Physics and the highest professional awards in three scientific societies: the European Physics Society Quantum Electronics Prize, the Optical Society of America Max Born Award, and the American Physical Society Arthur Schawlow Prize. He is an elected member of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities and the US National Academy of Science.
