Mila Rosenthal is executive director of the International Science Reserve at New York Academy of Sciences, managing a global network of researchers, technologists and scientific institutions to prepare for response to climate disasters. She’s a professor of international and public affairs at Columbia University and co-founder of the climate solutions organization Planet Reimagined. Previously, Rosenthal was director of communications and advocacy for the U.N. Development Programme and held executive positions with Concern Worldwide, HealthRight International, and Amnesty International. Rosenthal has lived and worked in countries in Africa and Southeast Asia and for her Ph.D. conducted ethnographic research in Vietnam with women factory workers in the garment industry.
