Jessica Lorenzo

Jessica Lorenzo is an environmental specialist with Miami Beach's Environment and Sustainability Department. Her focus is on the protection and enhancement of environmental resources through dune restoration, water-quality monitoring, reviewing special events for environmental impacts and overseeing beach renourishment projects for the department’s Environmental Resources Management Division. Lorenzo is also a city environmental consultant and liaison to other government agencies for environmental concerns. Additionally, she provides internal support across city departments to ensure public projects avoid, minimize and mitigate environmental impacts. Previously, Lorenzo was a biologist at the Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources, working in the coastal resources section requiring construction projects to avoid and minimize impacts to wetlands and tidal waters.
