Gillian Tett is US managing editor of the Financial Times, where she writes weekly columns covering a range of global issues. Tett was previously FT’s assistant editor, capital markets editor, deputy editor of the Lex column, Tokyo bureau chief, and a reporter in Russia and Brussels. She authored The Silo Effect, Fool’s Gold (2009 Spear’s Book Award for Financial Book of the Year), and Saving the Sun. Her honors include Columnist of the Year, Journalist of the Year, and Business Journalist of the Year by the British Press Awards, the Royal Anthropological Institute Marsh Award, a SABEW Award for best feature, and Senior Financial Journalist of the Year by the Wincott Awards.
