These conventional plants, bolstered by advanced nuclear technologies which are rapidly approaching first deployment and commercialization, can produce clean power in a reliable, safe, and scalable way, opening up decarbonization pathways for industry, transportation, and other sectors. Advanced nuclear technology, specifically, can offer clear advantages in flexibility, deployability, and economics, and has the potential to change how we use nuclear technology, challenging long-held and increasingly outdated assumptions.
