Bridging Faiths in a Divided America
Setup
For many Americans, faith is the animating force behind their beliefs and actions, yet that aspect of identity is often deeply misunderstood or goes ignored. Faith communities are locally embedded and incredibly networked — there are about three times as many congregations as there are schools, colleges, and universities combined in the United States. America’s long tradition of religious pluralism is critical to rebuilding the civic fabric of our nation, and we can’t solve our social problems without considering its inclusion. From community building, sacred practices, and advocacy, come hear several leaders discuss concrete ways that they are bridging divides and solving social problems. Safiya Ghori-Ahmad, Director in South Asia and McLarty Inbound practices at McLarty Associates will also be joining this panel.
