William Frist

Chairman of the Executive Council, Cressey and Company; Former US Senate Majority Leader (R-TN)

William Frist is chairman of the executive council of Cressey and Company, adjunct professor of cardiac surgery at Vanderbilt University, and clinical surgery professor at Meharry Medical College. He is also co-chair of the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Health Project. Frist was a US senator (R-TN) from 1995 to 2007 and served as majority leader from 2003 to 2007. His board service includes the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Kaiser Family Foundation, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Frist was named one of the most powerful people in healthcare five times by Modern Healthcare Magazine.
