Steve Clemons is Washington editor-at-large for The Atlantic as well as editor-at-large for Atlantic Media publications National Journal and Quartz and editor-in-chief for Atlantic LIVE and National Journal LIVE. Including serving as an MSNBC contributor, Clemons writes frequently about politics, economics, and foreign affairs, and is publisher of the political blog The Washington Note. Clemons is senior fellow and founder of the American Strategy Program at the New America Foundation. He has served as executive vice president of the Economic Strategy Institute, senior policy advisor to Senator Jeff Bingaman (D-NM), and the first executive director of the Nixon Center.
