Mitch Prinstein is chief science officer of the American Psychological Association. He is also the John Van Seters Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience and co-director of Winston National Center on Technology Use, Brain, and Psychological Development at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A board-certified clinical psychologist, Prinstein has published over 200 scientific manuscripts and 12 books, including “Like Ability: The Truth About Popularity” and the “Popular” series. He has advised or consulted with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, World Economic Forum, Common Sense Media, National Institute of Mental Health, and Google, among many others. Prinstein and his work have been featured by The New York Times, NPR, CNN, and other media outlets.
