Jennifer Ashton is the chief health and medical correspondent at ABC News and founder and CEO of Ajenda, her science-based newsletter. A Columbia DuPont and Emmy® Award-winning journalist, and a 2024 John Jay Award honoree, Ashton has reported on the biggest medical, health, and wellness issues across all ABC News platforms for the past 12 years. She is also co-host of “GMA3: What You Need to Know,” informing viewers about the day’s latest breaking health and medical news. Ashton is a specialist in women's health and also holds a degree in nutrition and obesity medicine. Before joining ABC News, Ashton was the senior medical correspondent for CBS News and appeared on “The Early Show” and “CBS Evening News.” She was a co-host on the syndicated talk show “The Doctors” and a regular expert guest on “The Dr. Oz Show.”
