Tom Walton is the Home Region program committee chair for the Walton Family Foundation and managing principal of RopeSwing, a hospitality company that creates unique culinary, entertainment, and cultural events. As a Bentonville, Ark., native and through his family foundation work, Walton has been involved in revitalizing downtown areas in northwest Arkansas and projects such as the 21c Museum Hotel in Bentonville, improving natural spaces like Lake Atalanta, and a collaboration with NorthWest Arkansas Community College to provide culinary arts training. He has also led support efforts for organizations that expand cycling assets and promote biking in the community. Walton was named Arkansas 2016 Tourism Person of the Year.
