
Steven Rattner

Steven Rattner is chairman and CEO of Willett Advisors, which manages the investment assets of Michael Bloomberg. He’s also a contributing writer for The New York Times op-ed page and an economic analyst on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” Rattner was previously counselor to the U.S. Treasury secretary and led the 2009 restructuring of the auto industry, chronicled in his book, Overhaul: An Insider’s Account of the Obama Administration’s Emergency Rescue of the Auto Industry. Earlier in his career, he was founding managing principal of Quadrangle Group, deputy chairman and deputy CEO of Lazard Frères, general partner and a managing director at Morgan Stanley, an investment banker at Lehman Brothers, and a New York Times economic correspondent. Rattner is a Council on Foreign Relations member.
