Steven Osofsky

Steven Osofsky is executive director of wildlife health and health policy at the Wildlife Conservation Society. As of July 1, he will be an endowed professor of wildlife health and health policy at Cornell University. A pioneer of the One Health movement, Osofsky led the drafting of the core Manhattan Principles on One World, One Health and has developed, launched, and managed major One Health programs. He was the only veterinarian serving on The Rockefeller Foundation-Lancet Commission on Planetary Health. Osofsky was previously a field support director for World Wildlife Fund’s Species Conservation Program, held a fellowship in science and diplomacy at USAID, and worked with wildlife in East Africa.
