
Sarah Garland is the founder and executive director of Triple Helix Institute for Agriculture, Climate, and Society, a nonprofit dedicated to building cross-sector awareness and engagement around agtech for climate action. Prior to this, she was a postdoctoral fellow at Columbia University’s Earth Institute. There, Garland explored the role of crop biotechnology in developing nutritious and climate-resilient agriculture systems. Previously, she was a doctoral researcher at University of Cambridge as a Cambridge International Scholar, focused on CRISPR gene editing in plants. A thought leader on the intersection of technology and agriculture, Garland’s writing has appeared in Scientific American, Slate, and The New Republic.
