Sarah Alison Dewitt is the co-chief emergency medicine resident at Virginia Tech Carilion. She attended medical school at Creighton University and served as the university delegate for the American Medical Association. In addition to emergency medicine, Dewitt is passionate about hospice and palliative medicine, specifically the way it is deployed within the emergency medicine environment. She is a leader in implementing palliative principles in emergency medicine in her residency program and plans to pursue fellowships in hospice and palliative medicine.
