Saket Soni is the founder and executive director of Resilience Force. He works to transform $1.6 billion in rebuilding work, which is often exploitative, low-wage, and carried out by vulnerable immigrant workers, into dignified, family-supporting jobs. Soni has testified in Congress on issues of disaster recovery and immigration. His work has been featured in The New Yorker and he has been profiled in USA Today. Saket is the author of “The Great Escape: A True Story of Forced Labor and Immigrant Dreams in America,” which won the 2024 PEN America John K. Galbraith Award for nonfiction. His recognition includes the 2024 John P. McNulty Prize and being named to Fast Company’s 2022 Most Creative People in Business list.
