Ryan Strode is the environment program director at Crown Family Philanthropies. Prior to this, he was senior program officer for climate equity at Builders Initiative, leading grantmaking for clean energy accessibility in vulnerable communities. Previously, Strode was a senior director at Arabella Advisors, where he authored a report measuring fossil fuel divestment’s impact that was featured in The New York Times, supported the launch of the Fund to Build Grassroots Power, and helped found the Heartland Fund for funding rural communities. Earlier in his career, Strode was program director for philanthropy with the Franciscan Sisters of Mary. He is a Chicago Frontlines Funding Initiative advisory committee member and a board member of WEPOWER community investment fund in North St. Louis.
