Ronald Paulus is president and CEO of Mission Health, a $1.9 billion integrated health system serving western North Carolina that has, during his eight-year tenure, reduced inpatient mortality by more than half, improved patient experience to above the 90th percentile, and been designated one of the nation’s Top 15 Health Systems for six out of seven years by IBM Watson Health. He also co-founded the National Taskforce on Humanity in Healthcare. Previously, Paulus was executive vice president of clinical operations and chief innovation officer of Geisinger Health System, chief health care officer of Quovadx, president and CEO of CareScience, and vice president of operations at Salick Health Care.
