Robert Schenkkan is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter. His 15 plays include All the Way, which earned the 2014 Tony Award for Best Play; Heaven on Earth; and The Kentucky Cycle, for which he received the 1992 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. His latest play, Building the Wall, is currently running off-Broadway, around the country, and internationally. Schenkkan’s films include Hacksaw Ridge (six Oscar nominations and the Humanitas Award) and The Quiet American; TV shows or series include “The Pacific,” “The Andromeda Strain,” and “Spartacus.” He is currently writing a movie about the Manhattan Project for Robert Redford, and a film about the Ku Klux Klan for Joseph Gordon Levitt and Netflix.
