Rick Lowe

Artist; Founder, Project Row Houses

Rick Lowe is a Houston-based artist who has exhibited at the Houston's Contemporary Arts Museum, Museum of Contemporary Arts in Los Angeles, the Kwangji Bienale in Korea, the Kumamoto State Museum in Japan, and the Venice Architecture Bienale, among others. His community projects include Project Row Houses in Houston, Watts House Project in Los Angeles, the Delray Beach Cultural Loop in Florida, and Anyang Public Art Program in Korea. His honors include the Rudy Bruner Awards in Urban Excellence and the AIA Keystone Award. Lowe was appointed by President Obama to the National Council on the Arts in 2013, and in 2014, he was named a MacArthur Fellow.
