Richard Klausner is a cell biologist and biotechnology entrepreneur. The co-founder and director of Juno Therapeutics and GRAIL and executive chairman of Wisdo, he was most recently CMO and chief opportunity officer of Illumina Corporation. Previously, he was managing partner of The Column Group, executive director for global health at Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, National Cancer Institute director, and chief of cell biology and metabolism of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. Klausner has advised US and foreign governments and oversaw writing of the National Science Education Standards. He chairs Mindstrong and Cancer Research UK’s Grand Challenges in Cancer program and is a director of AnchorDx, among other roles.
