Ray Suarez
Host, “World Affairs,” KQED-FM; Washington Correspondent, Euronews
Ray Suarez is a host of the broadcast and podcast “WorldAffairs” from KQED-FM and the World Affairs Council. He also covers Washington, DC, for Euronews. A longtime journalist and public speaker, Suarez was previously the McCloy Visiting Professor of American Studies at Amherst College. Prior to that he hosted “Inside Story” at Al Jazeera America, was a senior correspondent for “PBS NewsHour,” and was a host of NPR’s “Talk of the Nation.” Earlier in his career, he was a reporter at WMAQ-TV in Chicago and the LA correspondent for CNN. The author of three books, Suarez’s most recent is Latino Americans: The 500-Year Legacy That Shaped a Nation.
