Rana Foroohar is an associate editor and global business columnist at the Financial Times and CNN’s global economic analyst. Previously, she was an assistant managing editor and economic columnist at TIME and spent 13 years at Newsweek as economic and foreign affairs editor and a foreign correspondent. Foroohar’s book, Makers and Takers: The Rise of Finance and the Fall of American Business, was shortlisted for the 2016 Financial Times McKinsey Book of the Year. She received the German Marshall Fund’s Peter Weitz Prize for transatlantic reporting, was honored by Johns Hopkins School of International Affairs and East West Center, and is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
