Ralph A. Clark is president and CEO of ShotSpotter, a gunshot detection and location service. He led ShotSpotter through an initial public offering on NASDAQ in 2017; the technology is used in more than 85 cities nationwide. A veteran of numerous technology start-ups, Clark previously was CEO of GuardianEdge Technologies, where he led the transformation of the company into a leader in endpoint data protection and acquisition by Symantec. He also served as vice president of finance for Adaptec through its acquisition of Snap Appliance. Earlier in his career, he was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch. Prior to business school, he worked at IBM.
