Peter Seligmann is the co-founder and CEO of Nia Tero, a joint venture of the Emerson Collective, the MacArthur Foundation, the Mulago Foundation, and Conservation International working alongside Indigenous peoples and local communities to secure their rights, cultures, and well-being through agreements that insure the vitality of their oceans and lands. He is also the co-founder and board chair of Conservation International, a global nonprofit working in over 40 nations to sustainably care for nature, where he was previously CEO. Seligmann is a director at First Eagle Holdings, a Council on Foreign Relations member, and an advisory board member of BDT & Company, Mulago Foundation, Lafayette Square, Only One, Glassybaby, and Azul. He was named to the Enterprise for the America’s board by President Clinton in 2000.
