Paul Scanlon

Professor of Medicine and Medical Director, Pulmonary Function Laboratories, Mayo Clinic (Festival Underwriter)

Paul D. Scanlon is professor of medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, founding director of the Pulmonary Clinical Research Unit, medical director of Pulmonary Function Laboratories, and medical director of Dolores Jean Lavins Center for Humanities in Medicine at Mayo Clinic, a staff member since 1984. Active in clinical practice and medical education, Scanlon has been a consultant for environmental issues including the Libby, MT, vermiculite mine asbestos hazards and the Minnesota Taconite Workers Health Study in regard to asbestos-related diseases. He is a fellow of American College of Physicians and American College of Chest Physicians and Distinguished Fellow of Global Alliance for Arts and Health. (Festival Underwriter Presenter)
