
Paul Ryan
Former Speaker, US House of Representatives; Director, Fox Corporation
Paul Ryan is former speaker of the US House of Representatives, serving from 2015 to January 2019. First elected to Congress at age 28, he represented Wisconsin’s First District for two decades. In 2012, he was selected as Mitt Romney’s vice-presidential nominee. Ryan chaired the House Ways and Means Committee and the House Budget Committee and spearheaded passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Early in his career, he was a legislative aide, speechwriter, and marketing consultant. Ryan is currently a director of the Fox Corporation and will be a professor of the practice at University of Notre Dame for the 2019-2020 academic year.
