Patricia K. Kuhl is co-director and Bezos Family Foundation Endowed Chair in Early Childhood Learning of the University of Washington Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences. She is also director of UW’s NSF Science of Learning Center and a professor of speech and hearing sciences. Kuhl is internationally recognized for her research on early language and bilingual development, for pioneering brain measures with young children, and for studies that show how young children learn. She is co-author of The Scientist in the Crib.
