Vice President of Legal, Google
Nicole Alston is Google’s vice president of legal and has led the YouTube legal department for three years. She was commercial counsel for many of Google’s strategic advertising syndication agreements and led early legal negotiations of contracts for Google Maps and Earth. She managed commercial teams handling content agreements for Google Maps, Earth, Finance, Book Search, Product Search, and YouTube and helped negotiate Google’s copyright settlement agreement for Google Books. Previously, Alston was business and legal affairs director at Guru Worldwide, and an attorney in the corporate and securities group of Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich (now DLA Piper).
