Nicolás Ibargüen

Environmental Correspondent and Director, Environment Desk, Univision and Fusion

Nicolás Ibargüen is director of the environment desk and environmental correspondent for Fusion and Univision, where he developed Project Earth to develop content to educate and raise awareness about the planet and formed strategic alliances to expand its mission. Previously, Ibargüen co-produced the award-winning documentary Amazon Gold and produced the documentary From Trees and Stars, which screened at the UN’s 2010 meeting in Cancun. He was editor and publisher of Poder magazine and worked with The Nature Conservancy to expand the marine-protected areas of the Sea of Cortes. Ibargüen is a board member of Natural Resources Defense Council’s Voces Verdes, the Humane Society International, and the Coral Restoration Foundation.
