Vice President, Interconnection, Thread
Nick Greer is vice president of interconnection at Thread, a Baltimore City nonprofit that engages academically underperforming high school students and reconfigures their social support structure. His work leads to a series of interwoven and meaningful experiences resulting in long-lasting relationships across lines of difference. Before joining Thread in 2015, Greer held leadership roles within Baltimore City Public Schools. As a Teaching Ambassador Fellow, he advised policymakers at the US Department of Education during the Obama administration. Earlier, Greer taught high school science for eight years in Pittsburgh public schools and in Baltimore City. He’s a first-generation college student with a bachelor’s of science degree and a master of arts in teaching from the University of Pittsburgh.
