Natalia Trayanova

Director, Alliance for Cardiovascular Diagnostic and Treatment Innovation, Johns Hopkins University

Natalia Trayanova is the director of the Alliance for Cardiovascular Diagnostic and Treatment Innovation at Johns Hopkins University. She is also the Murray B. Sachs Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University and a professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She serves as director for A.I. research in health and medicine in the Data Science and A.I. Institute and directs the Computational Cardiology Laboratory. Trayanova pioneered the development of patient heart digital twins and has used this technology and deep learning approaches to accurately predict risk of cardiac arrest and the precise delivery of catheter ablation therapies in patients with heart rhythm disorders. Trayanova is the inventor on numerous patents and a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors. She has been inducted in the Women of Technology International Hall of Fame and has received numerous honors and awards.
