Mona Hanna-Attisha

Director, Pediatric Public Health Initiative, Hurley Children's Hospital and Michigan State University; Director, Pediatric Residency Program, Hurley Medical Center

Mona Hanna-Attisha is director of Hurley Medical Center’s pediatric residency program and leads the Michigan State University and Hurley Children’s Hospital Pediatric Public Health Initiative, a public health program to research, monitor, and mitigate the impact of lead in Flint’s (Michigan) drinking water. She is also an assistant pediatrics professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Hanna-Attisha was previously an assistant professor in Wayne State University’s Pediatrics Department and associate director of the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Pediatric Residency Program. She is a board member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Michigan chapter and received the 2015 William B. Weil Jr. MD Endowed Distinguished Pediatric Faculty Award.
