Mohan Sundararaj is managing director of Grindr for Equality, Grindr’s social impact initiative dedicated to advancing health and human rights for Grindr users and the global LGBTQ+ community. Grindr for Equality leverages the world's foremost social networking platform for LGBTQ+ individuals to improve lives through partnerships with public health authorities, non-governmental organizations and grassroots advocates. A physician, Mohan has directed over $45 million toward community initiatives advancing LGBTQ+ health and equality in more than 30 countries. He has successfully influenced national health bureaucracies, major AIDS funders and United Nations agencies, partnering with local LGBTQ+ organizations. Mohan spearheaded The Trevor Project’s global expansion, including a 70-person operation in Mexico that provides 24/7 digital mental health support for LGBTQ+ youth. Recently, he managed a $27 million portfolio for a major urban public health department focused on sexual health and community resilience.
