Mina Sherzoy
Director, Promote Women in Government (WIG) Program, USAID
Mina Sherzoy is an international development specialist with expertise in economic empowerment, capacity building, entrepreneurship, and gender equality. Since 2011, she has directed the USAID Promote Women in Government program. Previously, Sherzoy held leadership roles at Chemonics International, where she led the Financial Access for Investing in Development of Afghanistan project. Prior to Chemonics, she held consulting, advising, and program management positions with Deloitte, supporting USAID-funded government, NGO, and private-sector initiatives — notably, founding the Afghan Women Business Federation, Afghanistan’s first business federation for women. She is a member of the South Asian Women Network, US-Afghan Women Council, and volunteers for the US Institute of Peace.
