Mihir Desai is the Mizuho Financial Group Professor of Finance at Harvard Business School and a law professor at Harvard Law School. With expertise in tax policy, international finance, and corporate finance, he has frequently testified to congressional bodies on tax policy questions. Desai’s most recent books are The Wisdom of Finance: Discovering Humanity in the World of Risk and Return and How Finance Works. He’s a research associate in the National Bureau of Economic Research’s Public Economics and Corporate Finance programs, and previously co-directed NBER’s India program. Along with multiple roles at Harvard, Desai has worked at CS First Boston, McKinsey & Co., and was a Fulbright Scholar to India.
