Michael Webber

Sid Richardson Chair in Public Affairs, John J. McKetta Centennial Energy Chair in Engineering, and Professor; The University of Texas at Austin

Michael Webber is the Sid Richardson Chair in the LBJ School of Public Affairs and the John J. McKetta Centennial Energy Chair in the department of mechanical engineering at University of Texas at Austin. His work spans research and education at the convergence of engineering, policy and commercialization on topics related to innovation, energy and the environment. Webber is the author of “Power Trip: The Story of Energy.” Additionally, he is the author or co-author of over 600 publications and holds six patents. Webber’s essays have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and Scientific American. His scholarly articles have been published in Science, Nature, and Environmental Science and Technology. Webber is a member of the GTI Energy board and ENGIE scientific advisory council.
