
Michael Rich is an associate professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and a pediatrician practicing adolescent medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. He is also the founder and director of Digital Wellness Lab and founder and co-director of Clinic for Interactive Media and Internet Disorders, which research media and technology’s effects on the health and well-being of children and teens. Prior to medicine, Rich was a Hollywood filmmaker, which gave him a unique understanding of the power of screens to engage, connect and change us. He is the author of “The Mediatrician’s Guide: A Joyful Approach to Raising Healthy, Smart, Kind Kids in a Screen-Saturated World.” Rich’s recognition includes the Adele Dellenbaugh Hofmann Award for excellence in adolescent health from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
